Seek His Face; Not His Hand

Seeking the face of God rather than seeking the hand of God will allow a person to receive the greatest blessings and benefits from God. When God leaves the door open by asking a person their heart’s desire, God is well pleased when a person is not selfish, but humble and sensitive to not only Him, but also to the needs of others. This is what touches and moves the heart of God for the person.

1 Kings 3:11-13 says “So God said to him, “You did not ask for a long life, or riches for yourself, or the death of your enemies. Since you asked for wisdom to make the right decisions, I will do what you asked. I will give you wisdom and understanding that is greater than anyone has had in the past or will have in the future. I will also give you what you did not ask for: riches and honor. During your life no other king will be as great as you.” (NCV)

Be blessed, be encouraged, and have a great day.
