Sometimes, You Have To Be The Bigger Person

”Applying wisdom to your life each day will help you keep distractions and foolishness away.”

There may be times when you may find yourself in a conversation with someone, in which the conversation may seem like it is turning in a wrong direction. Before things get too out of control, sometimes you may have to be the bigger person and simply walk away. It may not be easy, but it could easily save you much more heartache and pain.

Proverb 17:14 says “Starting a quarrel is like opening a floodgate, so stop before the argument gets out of control.” (GW)

Be blessed, be encouraged and have a great day.

Correction Is To Make You Better; Not Bitter

”Applying wisdom to your life each day will help you keep distractions and foolishness away.”

Correction, discipline and punishment may not always feel good, but it is necessary and it is for the good, in order to make a person better. It is only when a person rejects correction, discipline or punishment that they will find it hard in learning the lesson of the mistake or the wrong they have done. If a person does not receive correction as an act of love, they normally end up becoming bitter, instead of better.

Proverbs 3:11-12 says “My child, when the Lord corrects you, pay close attention and take it as a warning. The Lord corrects those He loves, as parents correct a child of whom they are proud.” (GNT)

Be blessed, be encouraged and have a great day.

Did You Hear What Wisdom Said

”Applying wisdom to your life each day will help you keep distractions and foolishness away.”

Wisdom will speak, as well as give a person instructions so that a person may stay focused and remain on the right track, but in order for a person to know what wisdom is saying, a person must have an open mind, open ears, as well as an open heart in order to receive the things that wisdom speaks and the instructions that wisdom releases. Wisdom always comes to help people; never to hurt anyone.

Proverbs 1:23-25 says “I wanted to tell you everything I knew and give you all my knowledge, but you didn’t listen to my advice and teaching. “I tried to help, but you refused to listen. I offered my hand, but you turned away from me. You ignored my advice and refused to be corrected.” (ERV)

Be blessed, be encouraged and have a great day.

You Will Never Go Wrong With Wisdom

”Applying wisdom to your life each day will help you keep distractions and foolishness away.”

One of the most important things that every person should have in life is wisdom. There are so many advantages to having wisdom that a person will never go wrong. Wisdom will teach a person everything that they will need to know about life. It will help a person build their character by causing them to use self-control and become disciplined in their daily lifestyles and activities. Wisdom teaches a person what to do, as well as what not to do. Most of all, wisdom will teach a person integrity; how to be honest, dependable, loyal and trustworthy; not just in the presence of other people, but even when the person is all alone when no one is watching them.

Proverbs 1:2-3 says “They teach wisdom and self-control; they will help you understand wise words. They will teach you how to be wise and self-controlled and will teach you to do what is honest and fair and right.” (NCV)

Be blessed, be encouraged and have a great day.

It Pays To Listen, As Well As Obey

“Applying wisdom to your life each day will help you keep distractions & foolishness away.”

A warning will always come before destruction does, but if a person refuses to listen, obey or take heed to correction then the individual will eventually set themself up to be hurt or possibly destroyed. The sad and bad part is, sometimes the setup in which the person brings upon themself causes them not to be able to make a comeback. There are some people who just feel as if no one can correct them, and the more God sends people into their lives to try to warn the individuals of their wrong; the more stubborn, rebellious and hard-hearted the individuals will become. Wrong will never be right and right will never be wrong. Whenever God sends a warning, God always has a reason for it and warnings should always be taken very serious.

Proverb 29:1 says “A man who still won’t obey after being warned many times will suddenly be destroyed. Nothing can save him.” (NIRV)

Be blessed, be encouraged and have a great day.

You Are Smarter Than That

“Applying wisdom to your life each day will help you keep distractions and foolishness away.”

A person who trusts in themself usually will end up making unwise decisions and choices; sometimes their decisions and choices can even lead them to trouble or even danger because wisdom was not taken into consideration. Because God is wisdom, a person should always put their trust in God instead of themself. Even when God places people in our lives who have experienced and been through things, God desires that we learn from those individuals to keep from making some of the same mistakes those individuals may have made. Trust in God always leads to a positive outcome in any situation.

Proverb 28:26 says “Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe.” (NIV)

Proverb 28:26 says “If you think you know it all, you’re a fool for sure; real survivors learn wisdom from others.” (MSG)

Be blessed, be encouraged and have a great day.

Repentance Makes Things Right

“Applying wisdom to your life each day will help you keep distractions and foolishness away.”

Each day everyone should find it in their heart to repent. God knows that no one is perfect and therefore, God knows there is a possibility that everyone may do things knowingly, as well as unknowingly. So that a person can be in right standing with God, an individual must always acknowledge whenever they have done, said or thought wrong and then the person must ask God to forgive them of the wrong and must also learn to forgive themself, as well. Repentance is not just an act of confessing wrong, but it also consists of turning away and not going back to the act of wrongdoing. This is what frees a person from having hidden sin in their heart.

Proverb 28:13 says ” Whoever hides their sins will not be successful, but whoever confesses their sins and stops doing wrong will receive mercy.” (ERV)

Be blessed, be encouraged and have a great day.

You Hold The Key To Your Blessings

“Applying wisdom to your life each day will help you keep distractions and foolishness away.”

God places people in our lives to not only help us, but to keep us grounded and focused so that we may keep moving in the right direction, and do that which is right from that which is wrong. The individuals that are divinely placed within our lives should also be holding us accountable to let us know whenever we are getting off course or off track because the actions of a person in whether they are obedient or disobedient will be what determines how a person will be blessed; for God only honors obedience.

Proverb 28:9 says “If you refuse to obey what you have been taught, your prayers will not be heard.” (NCV)

Be blessed, be encouraged and have a great day.

Your Mouth Can Save You From Trouble

“Applying wisdom to your life each day will help you keep distractions and foolishness away.”

Wisdom should always be used in the words that a person release out of their mouth. Because there is power in the words you speak, you should be very careful of every word that you allow to go into the atmosphere and environment. Everything that you release out of your mouth, you can actually make it happen for yourself; whether it be good or bad, negative or positive. The safest and wisest thing to do is to always think before you speak.

Proverb 21:23 says “If you want to stay out of trouble, be careful what you say.” (GNT)

Be blessed, be encouraged and have a great day.

Foolishness Can Lead To Death

“Applying wisdom to your life each day will help you keep distractions and foolishness away.”

A person should always think before doing things, especially if the things they are going to do are foolish because foolish, unwise things can cause harm or danger, and can even lead to death. Even when a warning goes out to a person and a person refuses to listen or obey, but the person chooses to do whatever it is they may want; wrong things are chosen over right, then the person will end up having to suffer the consequences whatever and however they may be.

Proverbs 21:16 & 29 says “Whoever does not use good sense will end up among the dead. Wicked people are stubborn, but good people think carefully about what they do.” (NCV)

Be blessed, be encouraged and have a great day.
