“Applying wisdom to your life each day will help you keep distractions and foolishness away.”

It is very important to use wisdom when you are in a heated conversation with someone, are disagreeing with someone or even upset with someone in the way that they respond to you. Even though you may be upset or disagree with the other person, you must not allow the individual to pull you out of your character in the way which you respond to them. The best and wisest way is to either not respond at all by being quiet, or either respond in a loving and gentle way to bring peace into the conversation.

Proverbs 15:1-2 says “A gentle answer will calm a person’s anger, but an unkind answer will cause more anger. Wise people use knowledge when they speak, but fools pour out foolishness.” (NCV)

“A word of wisdom a day keeps distractions and foolishness away.”

When a person pours and deposits into the life of others; as well as teach, impact, empower and positively influence other people, it is because they care and want the best for those individuals. In life, lessons are taught in order that we may grow, mature, become wise, as well as knowledgeable. Because God desires that no one be ignorant, a person should value and take to heart when someone is sent into their life to help them because the other person’s purpose is to push other people further down the road, so that a person not become stagnant, stunted, stuck nor still.

Proverbs 13:13-14 says “Those who reject what they are taught will pay for it, but those who obey what they are told will be rewarded. The teaching of a wise person gives life. It is like a fountain that can save people from death.” (NCV)

God does not want people to worry because worry is not of Him. Worry does nothing but add extra weight on a person’s heart which can also lead to other problems. Whenever a person finds themself taking on the spirit of worry, they should immediately start thinking about the goodness of God by reflecting on things that God has done for them in the past; such as ways He has made, doors He has opened, as well as the times that God has provided for and protected them. The same God He has been in other situations is the same God He is in any situation. Worry is not the solution for any problem; trusting God is what leads to the answer. Because you never know what another person may be going through, you should always speak kind, positive and encouraging words into the life of others; your words may be the very thing that give strength to a person, as well as keep them going.

Proverb 12:25 says “Worry makes a man’s heart heavy. But a kind word cheers him up.” (NIRV)

“A word of wisdom a day keeps distractions and foolishness away.”

Everything that we give to others should add to their life, and not take away. Even the words in which we speak into the life of others should always be positive, affirming and assuring. Every word we release into the atmosphere and environment should be productive. The words we speak should always be words that help, heal or build others up, and not hurt, kill, destroy or tear others down.

Proverb 12:18 says “Speak without thinking, and your words can cut like a knife. Be wise, and your words can heal.” (ERV)

“A word of wisdom a day keeps distractions and foolishness away.”

Sometimes, other people may intentionally insult or offend you just to see if they can get you to respond or react. Even though the insult or offense may hurt you; sometimes it is best to ignore the person, the insult or offense and allow God to deal with the person. Trying to defend yourself can make the situation worse, and can also cause you to act out of character, and no one is worth pulling you out of your character. Even in the midst of hurt and pain, sometimes your response must be to stand still, be quiet and allow God to fight for you.

Proverb 12:16 says “A fool is quick-tempered, but a wise person stays calm when insulted.” (NLT)

“A word of wisdom a day keeps distractions and foolishness away.”

Sometimes, a person may feel as if the things they do for others is in vain, as if others may not always appreciate them or the things the person may do or the deed that was done. As long as a person does things with a pure heart and the right motive, God will bless the person, and the good and positive deed that a person may do. The same goes for when a person may feel as if others may not receive their correction or words of love and encouragement, but for every positive life producing word spoken into the life of others, a person will be rewarded.

Proverb 12:14 says “People will be rewarded for what they say, and they will also be rewarded for what they do.” (NCV)

“A word of wisdom a day keeps distractions and foolishness away.”

The words of the wise have a way of always helping others. The words that a wise person speak encourage, inspire, motivate, heal, build, as well as give life to dead situations in other people’s lives. A wise person has a way of knowing what to say at the right time.

Proverbs 10:21, 31&32 says “Good people’s words will help many others, but fools will die because they don’t have wisdom. A good person says wise things, but a liar’s tongue will be stopped. Good people know the right thing to say, but evil people only tell lies.” (NCV)

“A word of wisdom a day keeps distractions and foolishness away.”

We are all helpers, one to another in one way or another. Whenever a person is able to be of assistance or help to someone else, they should do so. Where a person may be today does not determine where the individual will be on tomorrow. Today, it could be someone else in need and tomorrow, it could possibly be myself, you or anyone else. We should never think that it may not personally one day be ourselves that could stand in the place of being in need, because no one is exempt.

Proverbs 3:27-28 says “Never walk away from someone who deserves help; your hand is God’s hand for that person. Don’t tell your neighbor “Maybe some other time” or “Try me tomorrow” when the money’s right there in your pocket.” (MSG)

“A word of wisdom a day keeps distractions and foolishness away.”

There is wisdom in receiving correction. Correction may not always feel good, but the purpose of it is to pull out the good within a person so that they may be better. Because God loves His children so much, God always wants what is best for them and will not allow people to do or say anything they choose. Because God is love, He always corrects in love, which then would allow a person to see the wisdom in the correction, only if the person is open and receptive.

Proverbs 3:11-12 says “My son, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, and don’t be angry when He corrects you. The Lord corrects the one He loves, just as a father corrects a child He cares about.” (ERV)

“A word of wisdom a day keeps distractions and foolishness away.”

God loves each person so much that He extends mercy to everyone, even in spite of what the person has done. God is not like man; He does not stay upset with us and hold our wrongdoings, faults, mess-ups and mistakes against us, but instead God looks beyond all of our mess by extending new mercy upon us so that we may have time to get things right within ourselves so that we may be in right standing with Him.

Psalms 145:8-9 says “The Lord is kind and shows mercy. He does not become angry quickly but is full of love. The Lord is good to everyone; He is merciful to all He has made.” (NCV)
