Encouragement for June 16, 2017

“Applying wisdom to your life each day will help you keep distractions and foolishness away.”

In order for a person to have peace in every area of their life, the person’s life must be pleasing to God. Even in dealing with enemies, God will cause a person to have peace in the midst of confusion that the enemy may be causing. That is why a person’s focus should always be on God and not their enemies, issues or circumstances, in order to not become distracted because distraction can cause worry. A person cannot have peace if they are worried.

Proverb 16:7 says “When the way you live pleases the Lord, He makes even your enemies live at peace with you.” (NIRV)

Be blessed, be encouraged and have a great day.

Encouragement for June 13, 2017

“Applying wisdom to your life each day will help you keep distractions and foolishness away.”

Each day people make plans; whether it be plans to go to work, school, shopping, visiting the sick, plans to travel from one place to another, plans to go on vacation, plans to make phone calls, plans to spend time with family and friends, and even plans to rest and relax. Whatever and whenever you plan things, you should always be prepared to know that your plans could change. God can and will get in the middle of a person’s plans at anytime and change them for different reasons. Sometimes, God will even change your plans to protect you from hurt, harm or danger that is ahead of you that you cannot see.

Proverbs 16:1 & 9 says “People may make plans in their minds, but only the Lord can make them come true. People may make plans in their minds, but the Lord decides what they will do.” (NCV)

Be blessed, be encouraged and have a great day.

Encouragement for May 22, 2017

”A word of wisdom a day keeps distractions and foolishness away.”

A person who delivers mess, dirt and confusion to others is nothing but full of negativity, as well as a troublemaker, but a person who delivers good, positive, uplifting and encouraging news to others will try their best to straighten the mess out of all the trouble that the negative person may bring to others. Never allow anyone to treat you like a trashcan by dumping mess, trash and garbage on you. Mess stinks and it is not meant to get in a person’s ears nor on a person’s heart.

Proverb 13:17 says “Unreliable messengers cause trouble, but those who can be trusted bring peace.” (GNB)

Be blessed, be encouraged

and have a great day.

Encouragement for May 17, 2017

“A word of wisdom a day keeps distractions and foolishness away.”

God does not want people to worry because worry is not of Him. Worry does nothing but add extra weight on a person’s heart which can also lead to other problems. Whenever a person finds themself taking on the spirit of worry, they should immediately start thinking about the goodness of God by reflecting on things that God has done for them in the past; such as ways He has made, doors He has opened, as well as the times that God has provided for and protected them. The same God He has been in other situations is the same God He is in any situation. Worry is not the solution for any problem; trusting God is what leads to the answer. Because you never know what another person may be going through, you should always speak kind, positive and encouraging words into the life of others; your words may be the very thing that give strength to a person, as well as keep them going.

Proverb 12:25 says “Worry makes a man’s heart heavy. But a kind word cheers him up.” (NIRV)

Be blessed, be encouraged

and have a great day.

Encouragement for May 8, 2017

“A word of wisdom a day keeps distractions and foolishness away.”

There is no one in the world that knows everything. God placed people on earth for one another so that one person could help another. Even in receiving advice and counsel from others, there is wisdom because a person who feels as if they know it all and will not receive nor listen to the advice of others can bring problems upon themselves. If you would trust God, He will never lead you in the wrong direction, even in seeking advice or counsel. God will always lead you to the right person, but the key is to always seek God and not just go to anyone on your own, because God will always send you to the right person for your situation that will be able to give you the best advice and the wisest counsel.

Proverb 12:15 says “The way of a foolish person seems right to him. But a wise person listens to advice.” (NIRV)

Be blessed, be encouraged

and have a great day.

Encouragement for April 27, 2017

“A word of wisdom a day keeps distractions and foolishness away.”

Whenever God chooses to bless someone, He always expects the person to enjoy the blessing by getting all of the full benefits that are connected to the blessing. So that the person may be able to enjoy their blessing, God will make sure that it is not a struggle to keep what He has entrusted the person with. God will also make sure that the person has peace and not pain in the process.

Proverb 10:22 says “The blessing of the Lord brings wealth. Trouble doesn’t come with it.” (NIRV)

Be blessed, be encouraged

and have a great day.

Encouragement for April 12, 2017

“A word of wisdom a day keeps distractions and foolishness away.”

We are all helpers, one to another in one way or another. Whenever a person is able to be of assistance or help to someone else, they should do so. Where a person may be today does not determine where the individual will be on tomorrow. Today, it could be someone else in need and tomorrow, it could possibly be myself, you or anyone else. We should never think that it may not personally one day be ourselves that could stand in the place of being in need, because no one is exempt.

Proverbs 3:27-28 says “Never walk away from someone who deserves help; your hand is God’s hand for that person. Don’t tell your neighbor “Maybe some other time” or “Try me tomorrow” when the money’s right there in your pocket.” (MSG)

Be blessed, be encouraged

and have a great day.

Encouragement for April 7, 2017

“A word of wisdom a day keeps distractions and foolishness away.”

No one should ever put trust within themselves. All trust should always be placed in God.  Because everything in life is always about God, about God getting the glory, as well as God being gloried, that alone lets you know that God can be trusted. Trust in God leads to success, favor, blessings, as well as maturity, strengthening and building of your faith, whereas placing trust in yourself, as well as any other human being leads to nothing but failure.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says “Trust the Lord with all your heart, and don’t depend on your own understanding. Remember the Lord in all you do, and He will give you success.” (NCV)

Be blessed, be encouraged

and have a great day.

Understanding the Flow of the Anointing: Manifestations of the Davidic Anointing

Notes from this week’s Bible Study

Date: April 5, 2017

Title: Understanding the Flow of the Anointing: Manifestations of the Davidic Anointing

Teacher: Bishop Sherman C. Gee Allen

Scripture References: 1 Samuel 16:1-23 & 1 Samuel 17:1-58

1) In order to be anointed, someone has to be rejected.

2) You cannot become arrogant in the anointing.

3) It is God’s choice whom He anoints.

4) When people lash out at you, it is a sign they have been rejected.

5) God is not anointing gifts in this season; He is anointing integrity and character.

6) You cannot get anointed without getting sanctified.

7) You must check your motive out.

8) You cannot look at a person and determine if God has chosen them.

9) You cannot kill giants until you have been anointed.

10) If the anointing makes you proud and arrogant, you do not qualify.

11) If another person’s presence intimidates you, maybe it is because that person is anointed to take your place.

12) God is not anointing position; but purpose.

13) Your conversation reveals how carnal you are.

14) People who are ignorant do not really understand what it takes for a person to be qualified.

15) God does not anoint privilege.

16) When the anointing is real, God will make counterfeit want to pay for it.

17) Some people think that their money can buy power.

Practical Christianity: ABC’s of Faith

Notes from this morning’s message

Date: March 19, 2017

Speaker: Bishop Sherman C. Allen

Scripture References: Genesis 12:2-3, 22:1-14, Hebrews 4:11-16 & 11:1-6

1) Acceptance – l am accepted by God.

2) Belief – l am a believer.

3) Confession – my confession  will not waiver.

4) Our need to perform is driven by our desire to be accepted.

5) l am going to rest in God this year.

6) Not resting in God will cause you to be an unbeliever.

7) Everyone wants to be accepted.

8) Our greatest fears are always centered around and rooted in issues of failure and rejection.

9) Sometimes, you have to understand that you will not understand.

10) Man’s nature is to cover up.

11) God can still see a person’s nakedness with clothes on.

12) Just as Jesus saved man as an adult, He could have saved man while He was an infant because He had just as much power, even as a child.

13) Mercy is not for the innocent; it is for those who are guilty.

14) God has to teach man how to trust Him while in the process of tracing Him.

15) Sometimes, in order for God to get you where He is trying to take you, He has to cut some pieces of your life out.

16) Every time God is trying to take you to another level, He puts something under you.

17) Whenever God tells you to do something, it will always exceed your ability.

18) People want the promise, and not the process.

19) If God said it, He does not need any help.

20) God will allow your mess to be a testimony of your miracle.

21) The promise, once secured will always be tested in order to see whether you love the promise more than the promise keeper.

22) You will know that you are in the right place when God gets ready to separate you from people.

23) You are not responsible for the provision; just for the sacrifice.

24) Whenever God is silent, it is because you are going in the right direction.
